Exceptionally high winds, as a result of Storm Ciara, are expected to impact train services throughout the country on Sunday 9 February.
How will this affect the train service?
Timetables on the Chester & Ellesmere Port lines will change, with some services departing earlier or later. The amended timetable can be found here
Planned engineering work on the Southport line will still go ahead, with rail replacement buses running between Sandhills and Formby stations. Buses may be delayed by road conditions. Full information can be found here.
If you, or anyone you know, has precarious trees, trampolines or similar items on their property that could fall or be blown onto the railway, please report it to Network Rail's customer helpline on 0345 711 4141.
