A shortage of train crew means a reduced service will be running between Brighton and Southampton Central.
We anticipate disruption will continue until 08:00.

From approximately 05:30 this morning, a reduced service will be running on some of our routes between Brighton, Littlehampton, Portsmouth and Southampton.
If you are travelling, we would strongly advise you checking live journey planner before you depart as your journey may be extended by up to 30 minutes if you are using an alternative route.
To assist with any cancellations, your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on the below alternative routes:

South Western Railway between Portsmouth/Southampton/Havant and London Waterloo

London Underground to connect you between London Waterloo and London Bridge/London Victoria

Stagecoach 700 buses between Brighton, Worthing, Littlehampton, Chichester and Portsmouth

Brighton & Hove buses via any reasonable route between Brighton, Hove, Portslade and Southwick

Southern and Thameslink via any reasonable alternative route
