Engineering works between Clapham Junction and London Victoria means that some lines will be blocked from 10:00. Trains running to and from these stations may be cancelled or revised. Disruption is expected until 14:00.

Engineering work will be taking place today between 10.30 and 13.30. During this time, some lines between Clapham Junction and London Victoria will be closed, and a reduced and amended service will be running to/from London Victoria.

The following amendments will apply to services running in both directions, between approximately 10.30 and 13.30:

• Gatwick Express services that run between Brighton, Gatwick Airport and London Victoria will be cancelled
• Some Southern services that run between Reigate and London Victoria will divert to/from London Bridge instead
• Some Southern services that run between Littlehampton and London Victoria will divert to / from London Bridge instead
• Some Southern services that run between Ore and London Victoria will terminate and restart at either East Croydon or Gatwick Airport instead
• Some Southern services that run between London Bridge and London Victoria will run between London Bridge and Streatham Hill only
• Some Southern services that run between West Croydon and London Victoria will run between West Croydon and Streatham Hill only
• Services will be unable to stop at Battersea Park in the direction of London Victoria. Services running towards Clapham Junction will be able to stop as normal but will instead stop on platform 5
• Services stopping at Balham will be subject to platform alterations.

Journeys may be extended by an extra 10-20 minutes, so we would also advise that you allow some extra time.

Can you tell me more about the incident?

A set of points (moveable sections of track) in the Battersea Park area have been identified as needing Network Rail engineers to attend and carry out some maintenance work on them. The time for this has now been arranged and confirmed for between 10.30 and 13.30 today, and during this time an amended method of working will be in place through the area, which has required the train service to be amended.
