The Met Office has issued amber and yellow weather warnings for rain, snow and wind across Great Britain.
As a result, flooding is causing disruption to a number of routes across the Transport for Wales network. Trains may be cancelled, delayed or diverted.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Current disruptions and customer advice:
Shotton and Bidston
Heavy rain has flooded the railway between Shotton and Bidston, blocking the lines towards Bidston. Trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 11:00.
Rail replacement has been requested.
Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport
Heavy rain has flooded the railway between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport, blocking some lines. Trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed.
Disruption is expected until 08:00.
Due to severe flooding in the Manchester area, Transport for Wales services are expected to be affected from Warrington Bank Quay. We are now awaiting further updates from Network Rail.
Shrewsbury and Chester
Heavy rain has flooded the railway between Shrewsbury and Gobowen, blocking all lines towards Chester. Trains running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or divert via Crewe.
Disruption is expected until 08:15.
The line between Shrewsbury to Chester is closed. Currently the line in the Chester to Shrewsbury direction remains unaffected.
Rail replacement is in place for stations between Shrewsbury and Chester.
