Trains are unable to call at Hove due to a problem with the station lighting. As a result, trains may be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 08:15.

Customer Advice:

Southern services are currently unable to call at Hove.

This means that trains on the following routes will run non-stop through this station:

  • London Victoria - Littlehampton
  • Brighton - Portsmouth
  • Brighton - Southampton Central
  • Brighton - West Worthing (peak-time services only)
  • Brighton - Chichester / Littlehampton (early-morning services only)

In addition, shuttle train services between Brighton and Hove are likely to be cancelled.

 

Alternative journey options:

You'll need to use another route for your journey this morning.

Your Southern ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on Brighton & Hove Buses on any reasonable route in the area. You can plan your journey on their services by using their website here.

Please leave at least 20 minutes of extra time to get to your destination, especially if you need to change between buses and trains to complete your journey.

The station lighting is not working due to water damaging the electrical power supply. Unfortunately, this means it's not possible for trains to stop safely at this station at the moment. We're very sorry for the disruption, and we're working with our station teams to rectify this as quickly as possible.
