Customer Advice
The line is currently running as normal, however emergency repairs to the line between Uckfield and Hurst Green will be taking place on Saturday 29 February and Sunday 1 March 2020.
Due to the recent severe weather, Southern have seen significant deterioration in the railway embankment near Edenbridge Town which means the Uckfield line needs to be closed this weekend to carry out emergency repairs.
Southern apologise for the short notice; however, the work must be completed to prevent a major landslip and a longer closure of the railway.
Southern are currently finalising the limited service they will be able to operate, including all alternative travel arrangements, and these will be showing in the journey planner by 16:00 on Friday 28 February.
The advice to you now is where possible to avoid travelling from stations on the route or to make alternative arrangements as to travel from a station such as Tunbridge Wells, Haywards Heath or Lewes.
