Replacement buses will run in the following routes:
- Between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport
- Between Macclesfield and Wilmslow
CrossCountry
Tickets will be accepted on the following routes:
- Northern via any reasonable route
- Transport for Wales between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe
- London Northwestern Railway via any reasonable route
East Midlands Railway
Trains running through the area in both direction cannot run between Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly.
Emergency services are on-route to manage the incident. They are expected to arrive at 17:45.
Tickets have been arranged with the following operators:
- London Northwestern Railway between Liverpool Lime Street and Birmingham
- LNER between Leeds and Peterborough
Northern
Tickets will be accepted on CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Transport for Wales, TransPennine Express and Avanti Wets Coast services via any reasonable route.
Replacement buses have been requested. We will provide further information once more is known.
TranPennine Express
Tickets will be accepted on the following routes:
- East Midlands Railway between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Stations
- Metrolink tram services in the Manchester City zone from Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Victoria
- TransPennine Express between Manchester Victoria and Huddersfield
- Northern between Huddersfield and Sheffield
- TransPennine Express and Northern between Sheffield and Cleethorpes
Transport for Wales
Tickets will be accepted on the following operators:
- Northern between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe
- CrossCountry between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe
