A person has been hit by a train between East Croydon and Gatwick Airport. As all lines are currently closed, trains may be cancelled or diverted until approximately 20:00.

Staff have been advised of a person being hit by a train in the area between Gatwick and East Croydon.
Emergency services and Network Rail colleagues are on site.
There will be no service at Horley station, you should use local Metrobus services to reach Gatwick or Redhill to start your journey from there.
Trains will run using some of the lines through Horley station, but there will be delays and alterations to services, you should use live journey planners before heading to your station.
At this time, we advise to travel later. If you do travel you can use the below ticket acceptance, at no extra cost:
- METROBUS via any reasonable route
- London Buses between central London, Croydon & Redhill
- London Underground on any reasonable
- South Western Railway between London / Portsmouth & Southampton
- Southeastern between London & Hastings
- London Trams between East Croydon and Wimbledon
- East Midlands Railway between Luton and Bedford
- LNER between Peterborough and Stevenage
- Mutually between Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express services
This will have a notable impact on services, affecting routes as far as Peterborough or Cambridge, for example.
Great Western Railway Customer Advice:
Tickets will be accepted on Thameslink and Southern between Redhill and Gatwick Airport.
Please be aware however, Great Western Railway services will continue to terminate and restart at Redhill station so you will need to change at Redhill if you require onward rail to Gatwick Airport.
