Can you tell me more about the incident?
When a train fault occurs, the driver will contact train technicians and will be guided through a 10 minute repair process. If they are unable to fix the fault, the train will be terminated and taken out of passenger service and returned to the depot for full safety investigation and repairs.  This is likely to have an immediate knock on effect, particularly in busy locations across the network, as well as on later services in the day.
Unfortunately, in this instance the train fault with unable to be rectified. A "rescue" train was sourced, which attached to the broken down train. A further fault did then arise which caused the lines in both directions to briefly be blocked, but both trains are now on the move and both lines are now open to run trains on as normal.
