Following a tree blocking the railway at Coulsdon South all lines have reopened.
As service recovers, trains running through this station may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 35 minutes or diverted.
This is expected until 23:30.
Customer advice:
Southern and Thameslink services are now able to run in both directions through Coulsdon South, between East Croydon and Redhill.
There have already been some delays, service alterations and cancellations because a tree was blocking the southbound line earlier.
Please check departures from your station if you are travelling in this area.
If there is still a long wait until the next train, you may wish to use another route.
To assist with your journey, you may use:
- London Buses between the Croydon area and Redhill, including route 405
- Metrobus services between Redhill and Gatwick Airport, including routes 100, 400, 420, 430, 435 and 460
- Great Western Railway services between Reigate, Redhill and Gatwick Airport
Please leave at least 20-30 minutes of extra time for your journey.
