Following an earlier broken down train at Witham all lines have now reopened.

Impact

Train services running through this station are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Customer Advice

Due to problems with the brakes, the 07:55 Liverpool Street to Norwich service came to a stand on the approach to Witham station and was blocking the line for other train services to pass. As a result, all train services are having to use one of the 2 lines available in the Witham area, causing severe delays and congestion.

Some services may be cancelled or altered as a result.

The driver has now managed to clear the faults on the train and the train has now been able to move into the station.

However due to congestion and delays caused, some services may still be cancelled or altered.
