Lines have now reopened following the emergency services dealing with an incident between Lincoln and Newark Castle / Newark North Gate.

As service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

This is expected until 21:00.

What has happened?

After the emergency services dealing with an incident between Lincoln and Newark Castle earlier, trains on the Leicester / Lincoln / Grimsby and Crewe / Nottingham / Newark Castle routes can now run normally again.

How does this affect my train?

Trains running through the area in both directions can now run between Lincoln and Newark Castle on the Leicester / Lincoln / Grimsby route.

Now that the line has reopened, the priority will be to run the advertised timetable again.

How do I get where I need to be?

You should continue to travel as planned however your journey may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, as trains are likely to experience extended delays or alterations.
