Following a trespasser on the railway at Epsom station earlier today, all lines running through this station have now reopened.

As service returns to normal, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

This issue is expected to continue to impact services until 22:00.

Advice for Southern customers:

The emergency services have been dealing with an incident between Sutton and Leatherhead this evening. All lines have now reopened and trains can run normally again, but some delays of around 10-20 minutes remain possible, as well as short notice alterations and cancellations.

Please check before you travel this evening and allow extra time for your journey. For most journeys, you can travel using your normal route but you may need to take an earlier or later train than planned, or change trains en route.

The emergency services have since confirmed the line as clear and being safe to run on again, and all lines have since reopened.
