An obstruction on the track at Dover Priory is causing disruption to journeys running through this station. Trains may be cancelled, delayed or diverted via Canterbury West.

This is expected until the end of the day.

What's happened?

A train has struck on object between Dover Priory and Folkestone. The train has been damaged in the incident, and power to the lines in the Dover area will have to be turned off to allow the driver to assess the train.

Network Rail response staff are also attending the incident and will need to undertake safety checks before the lines betwen Dover Priory and Folkestone can be reopened.

How does this affect my journey?

No trains can run between Dover Priory and Ashford.

All services which run via Dover Priory (including Canterbury East Line services) are being delayed and may be revised or cancelled.

What do I need to do?

Please allow extra time if you're making your journey this evening. If you're travelling between Ashford and Ramsgate via Dover, you may need to make alternative transport plans.
