The Situation
During planned engineering work last night, a Network Rail engineers road-rail vehicle derailed at Stratford. Investigations are currently ongoing and response teams are on site working to re-rail the vehicle. When this has happened, the railway can be inspected for damage.
There is currently no time-scale for when this will be completed, but this page will be regularly updated.
Routes affected:
- Norwich - London Liverpool Street
- Ipswich - London Liverpool Street
- Clacton on Sea / Colchester Town - London Liverpool Street
- Braintree - London Liverpool Street
- Southend Victoria - London Liverpool Street
- Elizabeth Line via Stratford
Our trains will be sharing the lines used by the Elizabeth line. As more trains will be sharing the lines there will be a reduced service on the routes mentioned above. This is to ease congestion at Stratford and ensure that the trains that do run, can run smoothly. Some trains may be cancelled or will start/terminate elsewhere to avoid the disruption.
Please check your journey before you travel using the online Journey Planner, which is updated with the latest information. Trains that do run may be busy.
