All lines are open, but delays of up 20 minutes may occur in the Gatwick Airport area due to the build up of trains in the area.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
The passenger communication alarm was activated on board the 17:43 London Victoria to Brighton service. This meant the train was at a stand in platform 7 at Gatwick Airport, blocking the line while it was investigated.
After 13 minutes, the train was back on the move allowing trains to run as normal again. However residual delays are still to be expected in the Gatwick Airport area. Teams are working hard to get services back to the booked timetable.
