A fault with the signalling system Southampton Central and also at Eastleigh means that the line towards Eastleigh is currently blocked. Services running through Southampton Central may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

We have been informed that there is a track circuit failure at Eastleigh. This means that trains are unable to use platforms 2 and 3 at this station.

Until further notice the following alterations will be necessary:

Services between Portsmouth stations and London Waterloo via Eastleigh will be diverted via an alternative route and will not be able to call at Eastleigh, Hedge End and Botley.

To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:

• Southern services between London Victoria / Clapham Junction and Portsmouth Harbour / Southampton Central.
• Bluestar 3 between Southampton - Bitterne - Hedge End - Botley - Eastleigh
• Bluestar 14 between Southampton - Bitterne - Hedge End

Following a track circuit failure at Southampton Central all lines have now reopened. Trains are currently unable to use platform 2 at this station meaning that some services may be subject to delays and/or short notice revisions.
