A points failure at Hazel Grove is causing disruption to journeys between Sheffield / Buxton and Manchester Piccadilly. As a result of this, trains may be cancelled or delayed.

This is expected until 12:00.

East Midlands Railway Customer Advice:

Trains running through the area in both directions may be diverted between Sheffield and Stockport.

This diversion will mean some trains will not be able to call at Hazel Grove or Stockport until further notice.

Some trains in the Norwich to Liverpool direction may not be able to divert and may have to terminate at Sheffield or Nottingham. You would then need to board the next service and this will add 60 minutes to your journey.
