Urgent repairs to the track are required between Redhill and Gatwick Airport, closing some lines.

As a result of this, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised.

This issue is expected to continue to impact services until 15:00.

Gatwick Express / Southern / Thameslink customer advice:

No trains can call at Earlswood or Salfords, in the direction of Gatwick Airport, until further notice. Please allow an extra 30 minutes for your journey as you will have to use an alternative route / transport provider.

If you are at Earlswood or Salfords, and need to travel towards Gatwick Airport, you should catch a train to Redhill and board a return service.

If you are coming from the direction of East Croydon / Redhill, and need to alight at either of these stations, you should continue through to Gatwick Airport and catch a return service.

Ticket acceptance:

You can use your ticket on the following, at no extra cost:

  • Alternative Southern and Thameslink trains between Redhill and Gatwick Airport
  • Metrobus services as follows:
    • 3 for Gatwick, Three Bridges and Crawley
    • 10 for Gatwick Airport and Crawley
    • 20 for Horley, Gatwick Airport and Three Bridges
    • 100 for Redhill, Earlswood, Salfords, Horley, Gatwick, Crawley and Three Bridges
    • 400 for Redhill, Earlswood, Salfords, Horley, Gatwick, Crawley and Three Bridges
    • 411 for Merstham, Redhill and Reigate
    • 420 for Redhill, Earlswood, Salfords, Gatwick and Crawley
    • 422 / 424 for Reigate, Redhill, Earlswood, Horley and Gatwick Airport
    • 430 / 435 for Redhill, Reigate, Earlswood and Merstham
    • 460 for Reigate, Redhill, Earlswood, Salfords, Horley, Gatwick and Crawley

You may use your ticket on Southern and Thameslink services between Redhill and Gatwick Airport at no extra cost.
