A person being hit by a train between Paddock Wood and Ashford International means all lines between these stations are closed whilst the emergency services deal with the incident.

Trains will be cancelled or diverted to run via Maidstone East.

Disruption is expected until 22:00.

What's happened?

Southeastern have sadly received a report of a person being hit by a train between Paddock Wood and Ashford International.

Power to the track has been switched off to allow emergency services to respond to the incident.

Network Rail staff are also on their way to the area.
