A tree is blocking the railway between Bootle and Drigg. All lines between these stations are currently closed. Trains between Millom and Workington will be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 10:30.

Network Rail engineers are on site and are trying to remove the tree with further updates to follow.

Road transport has been requested to operate between Millom and Whitehaven.
