Services are being amended on a train-by-train basis based on congestion.
Great Western Railway
Great Western Railway local stopping trains between Didcot Parkway and London Paddington will only run between Reading and London Paddington. Their trains between Newbury and London Paddington will only run between Newbury and Reading. Customers travelling to or from London Paddington will need to change trains at Reading. Great Western Railway high speed trains between London Paddington and Oxford will only run at 1 train per hour. Some of their high speed trains between London Paddington and South Wales and Bristol may also need to be cancelled or terminated at Reading instead of London Paddington.
If you are travelling between Oxford and London Paddington, you may use your ticket on Chiltern Railways services at no extra cost between Oxford and London Marylebone.
You can also use your ticket on Elizabeth line services between Reading and Paddington and on London Underground services via any reasonable route at no extra cost.
If you are travelling between Windsor and Eton Central and Central London may use their tickets at no extra cost on South Western Railway services between Windsor and Eton Riverside and London Waterloo.
Heathrow Express
Heathrow Express are only able to run 2 trains per hour. Trains will depart London Paddington at 25XX and 22XX past the hour. Trains will depart Heathrow Terminal 5 at 27XX and 57XX past the hour.
You can use your ticket on Elizabeth line services between London Paddington and Reading.
Elizabeth line services are also affected by this issue.
