A failure of the electricity supply at City Thameslink means the northbound line from London Blackfriars towards Farringdon is blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 16:30.

Northbound Thameslink services are being disrupted on the route through City Thameslink station, between London Blackfriars and St Pancras International. This follows problems with the electrical power supply. Please leave at least 20-30 minutes of extra time for your journey. Some trains may be held at stations, amended at short notice, or cancelled. You may wish to consider using another route for your journey, if one is immediately available in the area. Ticket acceptance on alternative routes: Your Thameslink ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on: North of London:
- Great Northern services to & from London Kings Cross and Moorgate
- Greater Anglia between London Liverpool Street and Cambridge
- East Midlands Railway services between London St Pancras International, Luton Airport Parkway, Luton and Bedford are unable to accept Thameslink tickets at present.
Central London area:
- London Underground services on any reasonable route
- London Buses between the Croydon / Sutton areas, Central London and West Hampstead / Finsbury Park
- London Overground via West Hampstead, on any reasonable route
South of London:
- Southern services on any reasonable route to & from London Victoria or London Bridge
- Gatwick Express services between London Victoria, Gatwick Airport and Brighton

Can you tell me more about the incident? At the moment, Thameslink are working with local staff and colleagues at Network Rail to deal with the situation. A number of trains are being delayed after a service heading through the area had problems drawing electrical power. Response staff are now attending and we are monitoring further updates.
