A points failure between Leicester and Loughborough / Peterborough means that trains are disrupted. Services running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 12:00.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on East Midlands Railway services via any reasonable route. Arrangements have been made for CrossCountry rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.

What has happened?
There is a points failure at Syston between Loughborough and Leicester disrupting our trains on the Grimsby / Lincoln / Nottingham / Leicester routes.
Network Rail are going to send engineers to investigate the problem. They are expected to arrive at 07:20.
How does this affect my train?
Trains running through the area in Loughborough direction can now stop at Syston, Sileby or Barrow-upon-Soar between Loughborough and Leicester.
Trains running through the area in Leicester direction can run normally between Loughborough and Leicester.
How do I get where I need to be?
You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Trains are likely to experience extended delays or alterations. You should use alternative routes which will be most comfortable and quickest way to get where you need to be. You may travel via the following alternative routes:
If travelling from Leicester for Syston, Sileby and Barrow Upon Soar
You will need to change at Loughborough for a connecting service back to these stations, this is likely to extend your journey time by up to 30 minutes.
If travelling from Syston, Sileby and Barrow-upon-Soar for Loughborough
You will need to change at Leicester for a connecting service back to Loughborough, this is likely to extend your journey time by up to 30 minutes.
If you need to start your outward journey from a different operator's station due to this disruption, then you will also be able to travel back to that station when you return, regardless of if the disruption has ended or your ticket type. Our rail industry colleagues will welcome you on board with your original ticket.
