There is a points failure at Syston South Junction. This is between Leicester and Loughborough and is disrupting our trains on the London St Pancras International/ Nottingham/ Sheffield and Leicester/ Nottingham/ Lincoln/ Grimsby routes. Network rail are going to investigate the problem. They are expected to arrive on site at 11:00. They are currently making their was from the Leicestershire area.
How does this affect my train?
Trains running through the area from Nottingham/ Sheffield towards London St Pancras International will be delayed.
Trains running through the area from London St Pancras International towards Nottingham/ Sheffield will be delayed.
Intercity services are able to run, however, your journey may be delayed by up to 20 minutes due to congestion in the area.
The 08:39 service Grimsby Town to Leicester will terminate at Loughborough.
The 11:42 service Leicester to Grimsby Town will start at Loughborough.
East Midlands Railway are currently looking at how else this is going to affect the Leicester/ Nottingham/ Lincoln/ Grimsby route.
At present we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 2 hours. We expect the advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 13:00.
