A vehicle colliding with the level crossing barriers between Derby and Stoke-on-Trent means some lines are closed.

Trains running between these stations may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 20 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer Advice

Trains running in both directions can not currently run between Derby and Crewe.

Additional Information

Network Rail and the British Transport Police are on site investigating the problem.

How do I get where I need to be?

East Midlands Railway have arranged for tickets to be used at no extra cost on West Midlands Railway between Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent and also CrossCountry between Tamworth and Derby in both directions.

A bus replacement service will be in place between Stoke-on-Trent and Derby in both directions.
