A road vehicle colliding with a bridge between Ashford International and Canterbury West means all lines are disrupted. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised. This is expected until 12:30.
What's happened?
We've received a report of a vehicle striking a bridge between Wye and Chilham. Until response staff inspect the bridge, trains have to run at a reduced speed over the bridge.
How does this affect my journey?
Trains between Ashford and Canterbury West will be delayed while the bridge is inspected.
What should I do?
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Stagecoach Buses routes 15, 45 and 45A between Ashford and Canterbury, and on routes 8, 8A and the Loop between Canterbury and Ramsgate.
Replacement buses have been arranged, and should be on site between 11:00 and 11:30.
