Engineering work is taking place between Preston and Glasgow Central, closing various lines.

Avanti West Coast

From approximately 22:45 on Saturday evening until the end of service on Sunday, buses will replace Avanti West Coast trains between Preston and Blackpool North / Glasgow Central / Edinburgh.

Northern

From approximately 23:30 on Saturday evening until the end of service on Sunday, buses will replace Northern trains between Preston and Lancaster. Train services will run between Lancaster and Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere.

ScotRail

It is not yet known how this service will be affected. Check back at a later date for more information.

TransPennine Express

An amended TransPennine Express service will run between Manchester Airport and Preston only. No trains will run between Preston and Glasgow Central.

Replacement buses are yet to be confirmed. Please check back here closer to the date of travel.
