Engineering work is taking place between Severn Tunnel Junction and Patchway, closing some lines.

Saturday:

• The 16:50 Penzance to Cardiff Central service will divert after Filton Abbey Wood, terminating at Bristol Parkway. Rail connections available between Bristol Parkway and Cardiff Central.
• The 22:47 Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads service will not run and will be replaced by a bus between Cardiff Central and Bristol Temple Meads (stopping at Newport to pick customers up only).

 

Sunday:

Swansea - London Paddington:

Until 13:43 services between London Paddington and Carmarthen (terminating at Swansea due to further engineering work) and until 12:23 Swansea to London Paddington services will divert between Swindon and Newport (via Gloucester, not calling). They will not call at Bristol Parkway and most services will depart London Paddington and Reading earlier than normal. If you are travelling to Bristol Parkway you should travel via Bristol Temple Meads for rail connections.

Additionally:

• The 08:58 Bristol Parkway to Swansea service will start from Newport. If you are travelling from Bristol Parkway you should use later rail services.
• The 10:03 Bristol Parkway to London Paddington service will depart earlier at 09:35.
• The 10:16 London Paddington to Bristol Parkway service will depart at 10:43.

 

Cardiff Central - Bristol Temple Meads:

• The 10:00 Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads service will not run.
• The 10:55, 13:00 and 14:00 Cardiff Central to Penzance services and also the 12:00 Cardiff Central to Exeter St David's service will start from Bristol Temple Meads. Rail connections available between Cardiff Central and Newport.
• The 15:00 Cardiff Central to Penzance service will be split in to two parts, Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Temple Meads to Penzance.
• The 15:55 Cardiff Central to Taunton service will start from Newport. Rail connections available between Cardiff Central and Newport.

 

Bristol Temple Meads - Cardiff Central:

• The 09:05 and 10:10 Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central services will divert to terminate at Bristol Parkway.
• The 08:49 Penzance to Cardiff Central, the 09:46 Exeter St David's to Cardiff Central, the 09:47 Plymouth to Cardiff Central and the 13:18 Taunton to Cardiff Central services will all terminate at Bristol Temple Meads. Rail connections available between Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway and also between Newport and Cardiff Central.

 

Cardiff Central - Portsmouth Harbour:

Until 14:25 services between Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour and until 11:08 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central services will start / terminate at Bristol Parkway. Normal route from Filton Abbey Wood, Bristol Temple Meads and beyond. Rail connections available Cardiff Central and Newport.

Additionally, the 08:01 Weymouth to Cardiff Central service will divert as above.

Rail replacement buses will run between:

• Newport and Bristol Parkway
• Newport, Severn Tunnel Junction and Patchway (extending to / from Bristol Parkway)
