Engineering work is taking place at a number of locations between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway, closing several lines at different times during the day.

Elizabeth line:

Before 16:00:

  • A reduced service will run between London Paddington and Maidenhead of two trains per hour (terminating at Reading) as Abbey Wood - Maidenhead Services will operate between Abbey Wood and Paddington only
  • A reduced service will run between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 4, of only two trains per hour
  • A reduced service will run for Maidenhead, Burnham, Slough, Langley andWest Drayton of only 2 trains per hour
  • A reduced service will run for Hayes & Harlington, Southall and Ealing Broadway of only 6 trains per hour
  • Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Hanwell stations will be closed
  • All services between Abbey Wood and Reading will call additionally at Iver

Great Western Railway:

Before 10:15:

Only one line will be operational between Didcot Parkway and Reading. A very limited train service will run towards London Paddington only. Some long distance trains will be diverted away from Didcot Parkway, and will be retimed to run earlier or later than usual.

Replacement buses will run between:

  • Swindon and Didcot Parkway.
  • Swindon and Reading.
  • Didcot Parkway and Reading.

Between 10:15 and 16:00:

Long distance services:

Trains to / from London Paddington will be retimed to run up to 12 minutes earlier or later than usual.

Local services:

An amended stopping service will run between Reading and Didcot Parkway only, instead of between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway.

Some long distance trains will additionally call at Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford to pick up customers affected by the alterations to local services.

After 16:00:

Trains from London Paddington to Great Malvern / Hereford will be retimed to depart up to 3 minutes earlier than usual.

Trains from London Paddington to Swansea will be retimed to depart up to 1 minute earlier than usual.

Trains towards London Paddington will be retimed to arrive slightly later than usual.
