Engineering work is taking place between Darlington and Newcastle from 23:55 on Sunday until 05:15 on Monday, closing some lines.

As a result the following amendments will apply:

Monday:

• The 21:00 London Kings Cross to Newcastle service will be retimed to run earlier than normal between York and Newcastle.
• The 22:00 London Kings Cross to Newcastle service will terminate at Doncaster. If you are travelling to stations north of Doncaster you should use the 22:05 London Kings Cross to York service to connection with a rail replacement bus the will operate between York and Newcastle.

Monday:

• The 04:45 Newcastle to London Kings Cross service will start from York at 06:00.
