Services across the whole Great Northern and Thameslink network will be disrupted this evening, Friday 17 December, due to a shortage of train crew.

A number of Great Northern and Thameslink services will be cancelled or amended this evening. We're very sorry for the disruption.
This mainly affects the following routes:
- Thameslink services between Horsham and Peterborough
- Great Northern services between Moorgate and Welwyn Garden City
- Great Northern services between Moorgate, Gordon Hill, Hertford North and Stevenage
Some other routes may also be affected at times.
Great Northern and Thameslink recommend you check a journey planner before you go to the station. You can also see if this incident affects your journey by using the map here.
Great Northern and Thameslink don't have an exact estimate of the delay, as it will depend when you are travelling. However, if you need to wait for another train, your journey is likely to take at least 15-30 minutes longer.
Ticket acceptance with other transport operators:
If your train is cancelled and you are travelling in the Central and North London areas, you may find it's quicker to use an alternative route.
To help you with your journey, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on:
- Tube services on any reasonable route, including the Northern and Piccadilly Lines
- Greater Anglia services between Hertford East and London Liverpool Street
- London Overground services between Enfield Town and London Liverpool Street
- London Buses on any reasonable route which serves stations between Central London and Enfield / Gordon Hill
Tickets will be accepted interchangeably on Great Northern or Thameslink trains on any reasonable route.
