All lines have now reopened following a points failure between Kings Lynn and Downham Market. Trains runnning between these stations may continue to be cancelled or revised.

Lines between Kings Lynn and Downham Market have now reopened, and trains can begin to run on this route once again.
Great Northern are working to return to their scheduled timetable, but please continue to check journey planners and station information boards before you travel. Trains currently in the area will still be disrupted, and your journey may still take up to 30 minutes longer than usual.
You may still use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on:
- Alternative Great Northern or Thameslink services on any reasonable route towards your destination.
- Greater Anglia services on routes between Ely and Cambridge

A points failure was reported between Kings Lynn and Ely earlier today. This prevented trains from travelling on this route.
Points are moveable sections of track which can send trains onto different routes at junctions. These are part of the signalling system, generally managed by Network Rail.
Points can stop moving correctly for several reasons. For example, there may be an obstruction in the moving parts, or the electronic control systems may have developed a fault.
Network Rail have sent their specialist Signalling & Telecoms teams to site, and the fault has now been resolved.
