Coronavirus travel update – Grand Central train service suspension extended throughout May and June

Due to the ongoing restrictions and Government advice, Grand Central has taken the difficult decision to extend our temporary period of service suspension from 3rd April 2020 through to the end of June.

All tickets purchased for Grand Central journeys after April 4th 2020 are eligible for refund– click here for more information.

If you must use public transport and you have a ticket to travel with Grand Central, we would highly recommend you contact the train operator you wish to travel with in order to check whether your ticket will be accepted and if you are required to make a seat reservation first. If you are travelling beyond May, you will be required to claim a refund and purchase a new ticket. The National Rail Enquiries website will have all the details you need in order to do this. More information on timetables, cancellations and refunds is available on our dedicated travel page.
