Engineering work is taking place between Ipswich and Felixstowe, closing all lines.

After 18:50 on Saturday, and all day on Sunday and Monday, no trains will run. A replacement bus service will operate between Ipswich and Felixstowe, calling at all stations.

Project Information:

The Felixstowe branch line serves the Port of Felixstowe, which is the largest container port in the UK. Network Rail are planning to build an additional track and make changes to six level crossings in the Trimley area.

Building the additional track will help increase the capacity of the Felixstowe branch line and take lorries off the road. It will also mean more reliable journeys for passengers traveling between Ipswich and Felixstowe.
