A shortage of train crew means fewer train services are able to run between Oxenholme Lake District and Windermere. As a result, some trains may be cancelled and be replaced by road transport.

We expect this to continue unti the end of the day.

Alternative travel suggestions:

You may use your ticket at no additional cost on board TransPennine Express services between Manchester Airport and Oxenholme Lake District.

Road Transport:

Road transport will replace some cancelled trains. Further details will be posted once operators and departures times confirmed.

Journey times will be extended by up to 60 minutes when using road replacement transport.
