Train crew being unavailable means a reduced service will be in operation across the Northern network today.
Effect on service:
Services across the Northern network will face disruption for the rest of today (Sunday 10 March). Customers are advised services may be cancelled, altered, delayed or replaced by road transport.
We advise customers to check on-line journey planners prior to travelling and to allow extra time to complete their journeys.
Alternative travel suggestions:
Ticket acceptance has been granted as follows:
- TransPennine Express, via any reasonable route, until the end of the day.
- Transport for Wales, for routes between Manchester stations and Chester (in both directions) until the end of the day.
- Manchester Metrolink for routes between Manchester stations and between Manchester stations and Rochdale, until the end of the day.
Rail replacement:
Some journeys may be replaced by replacement road transport. Please see station information posters for the location of bus pick up points and be advised journey times will be extended when using replacement road transport.
Check before you travel:
You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner
Compensation:
You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
