Lines have now reopened following a fault with the signalling system between London Kings Cross and Peterborough. Whilst service recovers, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
Disruption is expected to continue until 15:00.
Customer Advice:
Thameslink
Earlier this afternoon, there was a failure of the signalling system between Huntingdon and Peterborough. All lines were affected in both directions, but the equipment is now working again.
This has caused delays to Thameslink services in the area, as well as long-distance trains. We are now working to get back to the timetable.
We don't have an exact estimate for the delay at the moment, but it may take around 20-30 minutes longer to get to your destination. Please check departure boards here for full information about your train.
A small number of trains may be revised to call at fewer stations en route.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
Just before 13.15, we were advised of a complete failure of signalling equipment in the Connington area, between Huntingdon and Peterborough. Trains could only travel through the area at extremely reduced speeds.
Network Rail have been investigating as quickly as possible, and have now resolved the fault, as of 13.35. We are now getting our trains and crews back in position.
