Lines have now reopened following a trespass incident between Norwich and Ely. While service recovers, trains may still be delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised. This is expected until 19:30.
East Midlands Railway Customer Advice:
There was a trespasser on the railway between Thetford and Ely. This is disrupting trains on the Liverpool Lime Street / Nottingham / Norwich route.
Network Rail have confirmed services can now begin to run.
You can use your tickets with CrossCountry between Ely and Leicester to connect with services towards Sheffield and Nottingham. You can use your ticket with LNER between Peterborough and Grantham where you can connect to services for Skegness and Nottingham. All of these alternative route options are available in the opposite direction too.
