The RMT union has announced that they will be taking strike action on Wednesday 27 July impacting South Western Railway services. SWR will run a dramatically reduced timetable of strike days, with significant parts of the network closed. Please only travel if you journey is absolutely essential.
A late-starting service will operate across the network on Thursday 28 July.

A severely limited service will run between 07:15 and 18:30 on some routes, with the rest of the network closed. Where trains are running, they are expected to be very busy.
Services will run as follows:
- London Waterloo to Southampton Central - 2 trains an hour (in both directions)
- London Waterloo to Woking - 4 trains an hour (in both directions)
- London Waterloo to Basingstoke - 2 trains an hour (in both directions)
- London Waterloo to Windsor - 4 trains an hour (in both directions)

On Thursday 28 July, no SWR trains will run before 07:30. Please check your journey before you travel.
If you have already purchased daily tickets for Wednesday 27 July, and you decide not to travel because the service you originally intended to travel on is no longer running or has been retimed, you will be able to claim a fee-free refund. Alternatively, you can use the same ticket to travel the day before or the day after (26 or 28 July).
