The obstruction on the track between London St Pancras International and London Blackfriars has now been removed, allowing the line towards London Blackfriars to reopen.
Trains running between these stations may still be subject to delays of up to 30 minutes or alterations as service recovers.
This issue is expected to continue to impact services until 10:30.
Customer advice:
Southbound services from London St Pancras International towards Farringdon, London Blackfriars and London Bridge have been delayed, due to an obstruction on the track earlier today.
All lines are now open and we can run normally again, but delays of up to 20 minutes are possible. Some services may terminate and restart elsewhere as a result, or will have cancelled stops.
For most journeys you can travel using your normal route, but please check before you travel and allow extra time for your journey - we'd advise an extra 20 minutes.
If you do wish to use an alternative route, tickets will be accepted for no extra cost on the following:

Can you tell me more about the incident?
Earlier this morning, there were reports of an obstruction on the track at Farringdon, and as a result the southbound line towards London Blackfriars was blocked.
Network Rail colleagues have attended and removed the obstruction, and lines are now open to run trains on again as normal.
