All lines have been reopened following a safety inspection on a train near Watford Junction. Train services running through these stations may still be delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 19:00. Southern Customer Advice
Some Southern services have been disrupted in the Watford Junction area. This is due to an earlier safety inspection of a freight train at Kings Langley, just north of this station.
All lines have reopened, but some trains have been delayed by up to 15 minutes due to congestion. A small number of trains will also be unable to run on the section of the route between Shepherds Bush and Watford Junction.
This means you may need to use an alternative route to complete your journey.
Your Southern ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on:
- London Northwestern Railway services between London Euston and Watford Junction (although some of these trains may also be delayed by the same issue)
- London Overground services between London Euston, Willesden Junction and Watford Junction, and between Clapham Junction, Shepherds Bush and Willesden Junction
- London Underground services on any reasonable routeÂ
You can plan journeys on alternative routes in this area by using the TfL journey planner. Â
Using an alternative route may take up to 30 minutes longer, but this will be quicker than waiting for the next Southern service.
Can you tell me more about the incident?Â
