Flooding between Taunton and Castle Cary is causing disruption to journeys between Taunton and Reading via Westbury. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or diverted.
This is expected until 19:15.
Customer Advice:
Flooding has blocked the railway line near Somerton on the route between Taunton and Reading. Train services between the West Country and London Paddington are being delayed on route, or diverted via an alternative, longer route. Some trains services may terminate on route at short notice. Castle Cary is not currently being served by trains towards London Paddington. However, there is limited road transport in the area, which will take customers towards Westbury, or customers can change at Taunton, Bath Spa, or Swindon for connections to Reading and London Paddington.
Trains coming from London Paddington are currently unaffected.
