Customer Advice
Some Thameslink trains may be delayed between St Albans City and West Hampstead Thameslink, as there is a speed restriction on one of the southbound lines in the Brent Cross West area.Â
Your train could take up to 15 minutes longer than usual to complete its journey through the area. A few trains may not stop at all the usual stations en route.
You can use your normal route, but you may need to wait longer for a train to your destination, or change trains more often than usual. This will mainly affect stopping services through the affected area.
Please check station screens and listen to announcements when travelling.

Can you tell me more about the incident?Â
Network Rail have had to impose a 5mph speed restriction over a section of track in the affected area, which means Thameslink trains will run considerably slower than usual, and will be delayed as a result. Thameslink are working with them to understand the full issue and get back to a normal service as soon as they can.
