A fault at a level crossing in the Spalding area means the line between Peterborough and Spalding is closed. Trains may be cancelled or delayed.
We expect this disruption to end at 18:30. What has happened?
There is at fault with the barriers at a level crossing at Spalding. This is between Peterborough and Spalding and is disrupting our trains on the Peterborough / Lincoln / Doncaster Routes.
We have been advised by Network Rail that a member of staff will arrive on site at 17:35. Once they have access to the problem they will be able to give an estimation to when the usual service will resume.
How does this affect my train?
The problem is affecting trains running on the Peterborough / Lincoln / Doncaster route in both directions. The Nottingham / Skegness route is not affected by this problem and will run normally.
At present we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next hour. As soon as the problem is fixed the priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. It is expected that the advertised timetable will resume on the affected routes by 18:30.
