A fault with the signalling system between Nottingham and Derby / Loughborough is causing disruption to journeys running between these stations.

As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 17:30.

Customer advice:

Trains running through the area in the Long Eaton direction from Beeston may be delayed by 60 minutes. This is affecting services on the Newark Castle / Crewe and Matlock / Derby / Nottingham routes.

Trains running through the area in the East Midlands Parkway direction from Beeston may be delayed by up to 30 minutes. This is affecting services on the Intercity and Leicester / Lincoln / Grimsby routes.

Trains running in the Beeston direction from Long Eaton and East Midlands Parkway can still run normally.

Your ticket will be accepted with the following operators:

  • London Northwestern Railway between Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe. Your tickets will also be accepted between Crewe and Tamworth. Connections towards Derby and Nottingham can be made at Tamworth
  • CrossCountry between Derby and Tamworth
