A broken down train between Lincoln and Grimsby Town means lines are disrupted. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled. Disruption is expected to continue until 16:00.

What has happened?

There is a broken down train at Grimsby Town, this is between Lincoln and Grimsby and is disrupting trains on the Leicester / Nottingham / Lincoln / Grimsby route.

A rescue train is on its way to recover the broken down train. There is currently no estimate on when this will arrive.

How does this affect my train?

Trains running through the area in both directions are currently unable to run until the broken down train is on the move.

At present, East Midlands Railway are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 2 hours. As soon as the problem is fixed their priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. They expect their advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 16:00.
