A fault with the signalling system between Havant and Portsmouth Harbour / Fareham means that trains have to run at reduced speed.
As a result, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised.
This is expected until 11:00.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
The rail network is designed so that if a signal stops working, trains will stop before they reach it. Whilst this issue is ongoing, the train crew will stop at the affected signal and contact the signalling centre to confirm their location. At this point, the signaller will verbally authorise the driver to continue towards the next signal. This process adds time to every train's journey, meaning services can experience delays.
In some areas, the sections between signals can be several miles long, resulting in delays building up. Even with shorter sections of track affected, there would still be a delay of at least a few minutes to each journey.
Network Rail manages the signalling system, including track circuits, and their staff will be investigating as quickly as possible.
