A trespass incident between Gatwick Airport and East Croydon means train services running through these stations may be delayed or revised.

Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express services are being delayed between Gatwick Airport and Redhill / East Croydon. 

This is due to a trespasser in the Salfords area. 

We expect your journey may take up to 20 minutes longer at the moment, but this situation may change. 

Some trains may be diverted onto alternative lines through the area, and may be unable to call at Salfords or Earlswood. 

We will continue to monitor progress and update this message.

Police and Network Rail responders are on site and working to deal with the person on the track as quickly as possible. Due to the nature of the location, this is proving to be challenging.
