A lorry has struck a bridge in the Kettering area meaning all lines are currently closed.
As a result of this, trains between Bedford and Corby / Leicester may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes. Disruption is expected until 08:00.
What has happened?
A lorry has collided with a bridge near Kettering, between Kettering and Market Harborough and Kettering and Corby disrupting our trains on the Sheffield / Nottingham / London and Corby / London routes.
At present Network Rail have staff going to conduct a safety examination. They are expected to arrive at 07:30.  No trains are allowed to run until the bridge has been examined.
How does this affect my train?
Trains running through the area in both directions cannot run between Kettering and Market Harborough.Â

At present we are expecting the line to be reopened pending a safety examination in the next 30 minutes. As soon as the problem is fixed our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 08:00.
How do I get where I need to be?
You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 30 minutes. We are sorry for the delay to your journey today.
